What is an electric fireplace?
An electric fireplace is quite harmless, healthy, and environmentally friendly, as its flame is formed by LED light and is thus not real fire. An electric fireplace, therefore, does not form smoke, soot, or ash but only heat. This results in it not having a negative impact on your indoor climate.
All these types of fireplaces need to function is electricity. As the flame is formed by LED light no chimney, ventilation, or other system is required. Therefore, it can be installed easily and immediately. You can thus place the electric fireplace where you want, whether it is in the kitchen, living room, office, or bedroom.
Despite the flame being formed by LED light, it still looks very realistic and in some models, there are several different colors for the flame play to choose from. Additionally, it is also possible to adjust the strength of the flame, i.e. how strong/visible it should be.
An electric fireplace can be used with both flame play and heating. If you do not want heat, it is also possible to turn it off so only the stunning flame play can be enjoyed - which is a great option for the warmer days.
For some electric fireplaces, it is possible to control them via remote control or app on the phone, which makes it possible to operate the fireplace directly from the sofa or bed.

The actual installation of a wall-mounted electric fireplace can be compared to the one of a flat-screen TV. Therefore, it does not require authorized professionals to mount it.

The advantage of these fireplaces is that the rear end itself is hidden inside the wall, which gives a modern and beautiful look. This type of fireplace can be used in an existing hole in the wall from any wood stove or other type of fireplace.
