Cassette 250 Opti-Myst
Casette 250 Opti-Myst is another cool product from Dimplex. Water fireplaces powered by electricity is here to stay, and this model gives you incredibly lifelike flames that are even three-dimensional.
In practical terms, Opti-myst technology works by turning the water that is added into steam that is illuminated, thus creating the startling flame effect that many people are looking for.
The Cassette 250 weighs a modest 8 kilos, so it's easy to handle and cheap to run.
It is estimated, with caveats, that the Cassette 250 costs around 50 cents an hour to run, and depending on how much you crank up the flame power, the system can burn for up to 12.5 hours on a full tank (1 litre).
The included remote control can both switch the fireplace insert on and off, and you can of course also adjust the size of the flames.
